Toronto will send minor league outfielder Connor Panas to San Diego.

Dodgers Trade Kemp, Puig, Wood To Reds In Seven-Player Deal

Earlier Friday, the Dodgers' Andrew Friedman sent starting pitcher Alex Wood and his two most decorated outfielders, Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp, to the Reds.

In return, the Dodgers took on the bloated contract of struggling right-hander Homer Bailey, who will be subsequently released, and acquired two prospects in middle infielder Jeter Downs and right-hander Josiah Gray. Backup catcher/infielder Kyle Farmer and $7 million were also sent to the Reds.

Mariners, Indians Complete Edwin Encarnacion, Carlos Santana Swap

The Seattle Mariners have acquired Edwin Encarnacion from the Cleveland Indians.

Carlos Santana is going back to the Indians as part of the three-team deal, which also includes the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Indians will receive Jake Bauers from the Rays, while Tampa Bay will get Yandy Diaz from Cleveland.

Tampa Bay will send $5 million to Seattle, and the Mariners will pay $6 million to Cleveland.

The Indians also are sending minor league pitcher Cole Sulser to the Rays and the 77th pick in the 2019 competitive balance draft to the Mariners.

Nationals Trade Tanner Roark To Reds

The Washington Nationals have traded Tanner Roark to the Cincinnati Reds for right-hander Tanner Rainey.

Roark expected to be pitching in Washington's rotation alongside Max Scherzer, Stephen Strasburg and newcomer Patrick Corbin.

"I felt like we would have a pretty good staff over there in D.C., but they thought otherwise, and I don't know what their plans are," Roark said. "I'm just grateful to be a National. It was good times over there."

Roark, 32, made $6,475,000 last year, and he is eligible for arbitration. He can become a free agent after next season.

Pirates, A's Complete Trade

The Pittsburgh Pirates today acquired minor league right-handed pitcher Wilkin Ramos from Oakland as the player to be named from the November 20 trade of right-handed pitcher Tanner Anderson to the A’s.

The 18-year-old Ramos went 3-3 with a 3.15 ERA (40.0ip/14er) and 38 strikeouts in 14 appearances (eight starts) during his first professional season in 2018 with the Dominican Summer League Athletics.  

Ramos was signed by Oakland as a non-drafted free agent on July 25, 2017.

A blockbuster trade that gained momentum throughout the week has been completed, as the Seattle Mariners have agreed to deal All-Star closer Edwin Diaz and veteran second baseman Robinson Cano to the New York Mets, according to multiple reports.

In return, the Mariners reportedly will receive veteran right fielder Jay Bruce and several prospects -- right-handed pitcher Justin Dunn, a first-rounder in 2016; outfielder Jarred Kelenic, the sixth overall pick in 2018; right-handed reliever Anthony Swarzak and right-handed pitcher Gerson Bautista.

M's Trade Alex Coleme To White Sox For Omar Narvaez

The Seattle Mariners continued their cost-cutting Friday, sending reliever Alex Colome to the Chicago White Sox for catcher Omar Narvaez.

Colome has 96 saves in six seasons with Tampa Bay and Seattle, earned $5.3 million this year and is eligible for salary arbitration. Colome was used as a set-up man by the Mariners and had a 5-0 record and one save with a 2.53 ERA in 47 appearances. .

Narvaez, 26, batted .275 with nine homers and 30 RBIs in 97 games for the White Sox and will make the league minimum in 2019.

Indians Trade Yan Gomes To Nationals

Cleveland dealt All-Star catcher Yan Gomes to the Washington Nationals on Friday night.

In return, the three-time defending AL Central champions got right-handed pitcher Jefry Rodriguez, minor-league outfielder Daniel Johnson, and a player to be named. Team president Chris Antonetti called Johnson and Rodriguez "upper-level prospects" who should be able to help the Indians in the next few seasons.
